SLA NSW will continue the reading theme from February launch, with a day of sharing reading ideas with our NSW Ambassadors, workshops and a panel of many talents!

Special guest Maurice Saxby will launch our newest award, the Maurice Saxby Award, which honours an individual, team or organization that has displayed excellence and passion in promoting reading and/or writing for young people in NSW.

Launch of National Year of Reading

14 February. National Library, Canberra.

SLA NSW is a supporter of NYR2012 events.

At the National Library in Canberra, this event will be hosted by the ABC's Jennifer Byrne, and will have some very special guests, including the patron, writer and actor William McInnes, and award-winning children's author - and Children's Laureate - Boori Monty Pryor.
